Photodynamic

Laser Therapy

WE ARE ONE OF THE FEW MEDICAL CLINICS IN THE UNITED STATES THAT OFFER THIS THERAPY

Photodynamic Laser is a therapy based on the stimulation of a light-sensitive substance (photosensitizer) which is infused into the bloodstream, injected locally or applied topically. The photosensitizer binds with high specificity to pathologically changed tissue. When stimulated by (laser) light, active oxygen radicals form and destroy this tissue without harming the surrounding healthy ones.

Created in Germany, this innovative therapy is only offered in select medical clinics in United States and is used in conjunction with various photosensitizing compounds including riboflavin, curcumin, ALA and methylene blue for a synergistic effect.

Low level laser therapy (LLLT) can also form part of photodynamic therapy including external/topical, systemic and interstitial.  Photodynamic therapy includes:

  • Photodynamic tumor therapy (for cancer)
  • Anti-microbial photodynamic therapy (e.g. for Lyme disease)

External laser therapy may treat various painful medical conditions including:

  • Spine syndromes/back pain
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Rheumatoid diseases
  • Tendon inflammation
  • Migraine/headache
  • Trigeminal neuralgia

Price: Starting from $200 (when combined with IV therapy).

$250 (as a standalone treatment).
