“Because we cannot scrub our inner body, we need to learn a few skills to help cleanse our tissues, organs and mind. This is the art of Ayurveda”

– Sebastian Pole

Dr. Anju Sodhi completed her Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) in 1990 at Mahila Ayurvedic College in India. Shortly after, she and Dr. Shailinder Sodhi got married, and she moved to the United States with her family. She enrolled at Bastyr University’s Naturopathic Program in Kenmore, WA, graduating in 1993 with a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine. Dr. Anju recognized a gap in a holistic approach to skin issues, and went on to receive her licensure of Esthiology in 2007, to ensure she had the skills to treat skin conditions from inside out.

During her practice as a Naturopathic and Ayurvedic physician, Dr. Anju has found great joy and success working with patients to address fertility and pregnancy care while preparing for the best child birthing process possible. She takes special interest in post-partum care as well.

She uses dietary counseling, herbs, and lifestyle changes that will vary depending on the stage of reproduction. She also began to see a gap in the medical field for a long-term, holistic solution to treating skin conditions. By combining her degrees in naturopathic medicine, Ayurveda, and Esthiology she is able to curate specific and effective approaches for her patients that treat both the internal and external issues relating to skin disorders. She has had great success in helping her patients treat skin conditions such as acne, eczema and alopecia to name a few.

Other interest, in addition to primary care and family medicine, are treating chronic autoimmune issues and dietary counseling for all ages, genders and cultures.

Dr. Anju Sodhi takes great pride in being able to educate other healthcare professionals, giving lectures and participating in panels nationwide. When she is not sharing her immense knowledge or treating patients, she enjoys cooking up healthy, delicious meals, spending time with her husband and three children, and of course going on long walks with her dog, Kona.
